Solution
After a focus on the issue of youth homelessness was chosen, a design for a street mural was created with the intent of reaching out to homeless youth themselves with a theme of “Leave the street behind you.” The mural included the address and contact information for a local homeless youth shelter to which “Hope Kits” would be delivered. These kits would contain basic supplies such as hygiene products and first aid supplies as well as a postcard with further information about local and national services for homeless youth and success stories from other youth who sought help and got off the streets.
